My One Word
2017 has to have been the funnest year, yet the toughest year. 2017 is full of great memories and
I had some wonderful people in it. Although, in 2017 I found myself saying yes to a lot of things I should've said no to. This year I'm going to try my best to say no more.
Nope. The word I choose is nope. Sometimes It's hard to say no to people. I choose the word nope because in 2017 it was hard for me to say no to people, specially if it's someone I care about. I had a hard time saying no. This year I want to try to say no more often. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way or the only one who hasn't been able to say no in a situation.
This year I am determined to work on this. Last year, I had a college friend who would ask me for "help" on Spanish homework and of course, I couldn't say no. It was just one of those situations I found myself not being able to say no. I found myself not even doing my own work, so I finally realized and started thinking I should start saying no, which showed me a lot from that person.
2017 taught me that it's okay to say no, it's okay to set a limit and be able to say no. As soon as you say no to someone, you will see that person's true colors and it will make you realize a lot. So, for 2018, I am going to try my best to say no.
